There are too many secret deals with the current mayor. As your new Mayor, I pledge to dramatically improve the honesty and transparency into how Council makes decsions.

I'll be conducting a productivity and ethics audit to understand Council’s opportunities and where we most need to improve.

We are rapidly losing all the things that make the Gold Coast a great place to live - ease of getting around, affordability, communities, public assets such as parks, cultural and and sporting facilities.

The current mayor is focussed on the wrong kind of growth - we have more homelessness, crime and congestion than ever before.

Growth needs to compliment what we already have, it needs to benefit real people and provide real homes.

As Mayor, I'll reinstate the council's Climate Change and Koala Management units, collaborate with my elected colleagues for opportunities to change, and support residents and businesses to transition for a stronger future.

Climate change is real and as a city that relies on great weather, we have a lot to lose. Councils around Australia are measuring their carbon outputs, greening their cities and working to generate improved outcomes for our children, and grandchildren. It's time we stepped up.
